Caring for Carers, took 25 of our  care workers and staff for a Christmas Party night out in the Greenhills Friday 11th December 2009. As the “evidence” shows a fantastic night was had by all.

Caring for Carers, Limerick Branch had the Christmas Lunch at The Woodland House Hotel, Adare for a group of 41 family carers from both city and county. We would like to thank all the staff and musicians who contributed to a lovely relaxing afternoon.

Wednesday 25th November 2009 , we held an Infection Control Morning for our care workers.Caring for Carers would like to thank  Breeda – infection control nurse who  kindly facilitated the course.

Caring for Carers, Limerick Branch wish to congratulate the 22 carers who completed a 12 week “Caring in the Home Course”  Thursday night. Peter, Area Manager for the Elderly/HSE did the usual honour of presenting the certificates. Mass was read by Rev Fr. Crowe. The course was coordinated by Renée and Mary.

Caring for Carers, Limerick Branch wish to congratulate the 14 Family Carers from the Hospital and surrounding areas who have just completed the  ”Caring in the Home Course” . The carers were presented with their certificates last Monday, 23rd November 2009 by Peter, Area Manager for the Elderly/HSE. The Very Rev. Conor Ryan celebrated Mass.

Mary Frances and other members of the Hospital Support Group laid on a lovely spread of light refreshements on the night. They  introduced the new group of carerss to the Hospital Support Group. Carers who complete the course are encouraged to join the Hospital Carers Support Group who meet the 2nd Wednesday of the Month at the Hospital Resource Centre, 7.30 pm – 9.30 pm.

Caring for Carers wish to thank the course speakers; Margaret – course coordinator  and everybody who contributed in any way to the success of the course.

Congratulations to the  group of family carers who completed a “Safe Handling Course”  at St. Camillus Hospital,  Saturday, 14th November 2009 – Also a big thank you to Frances and Bridie who did the usual honours of running the course for us.
